| Hallene (Lamken) Cruickshank was born in
Villisca, IA on April 7, 1898, the fourth daughter of Richard
and Helene Lamken. She was a very pretty child with long blonde
curly hair. She attended a country school in the area and
graduated from Villisca High School in 1916 with very high
grades. She married Edwin McKinley Cruickshank on
May 20, 1918 at Laramie, Wyoming. Edwin was born on
September 6, 1896 in Omaha, Nebraska. Edwin and Hallene
had five children, Betty, Robert, Evelyn, Edwin and Jim.
They lived in the Medicine Bow region all their married lives.
Hallene passed away on September 2, 1979 and Edwin passed away
on April 7, 1992. They
rest at Greenhill Cemetery, Laramie, Wyoming. |
